Founded in 2022 by its Owner and Managing Director, Joshua Wenlock, Wenlock Systems was built on a passion for precision Control and Automation engineering and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Joshua began his engineering career as an Advanced Apprentice with one of the world’s largest dairy organisations, where he developed a strong foundation in industrial processes, fault finding, and control systems. Over nine years, he gained invaluable hands-on experience working within complex, high-demand production environments where reliability, efficiency, and safety are critical.

Eager to broaden his expertise, Joshua moved into the defence and renewable energy sectors—industries that demand the highest levels of technical excellence and innovation. During this time, he achieved a First-Class Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Automation and Control, further strengthening his technical capability in advanced control systems, system integration, and high-integrity engineering environments. His dedication and professional competence led him to attain Chartered Engineer status, a recognition of both his expertise and his commitment to engineering excellence.

By 2022, Joshua recognised a growing gap in the industry. The deep, practical understanding of control and automation systems—combined with the ability to communicate clearly and deliver reliably—was becoming a rare skillset. Wenlock Systems was established to address that need: offering specialist control and automation support with a straightforward, professional, and approachable service.

From the outset, our mission has been simple; help clients solve complex engineering challenges and deliver projects successfully, without unnecessary complication. We pride ourselves on being easy to work with, responsive, and committed to getting projects “over the line” safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Now in our fifth year, Wenlock Systems has demonstrated its capability by supporting and delivering projects for organisations ranging from innovative SMEs to some of the largest global companies. Our experience spans upgrades, system improvements, troubleshooting, and full-scale project delivery across multiple industries.
